Founded in 1987 by Anne Mayfield, Mayfield Consulting began with a bold vision: delivering targeted, insightful, and cost-effective market research for B2B companies. A Harvard MBA and former Senior Consultant at Arthur D. Little, Anne built a firm known for delivering exceptional results. Over the past 37 years, Mayfield has grown from a specialized marketing, sales and research firm into a full-service consultancy providing market feedback, strategy development, content creation, PR, and implementation support. This results-driven approach has led to our clients achieving 12 appearances on the Inc. 5000 List and more than 80 industry awards.
A New Chapter with New Leadership
Anne has since transitioned into a Senior Consultant role, and available for client engagements to support a smooth, thoughtful transition that stays true to Mayfield’s values. In 2024, the next chapter of Mayfield Consulting began with the acquisition and leadership of Samantha Swain Melting and Brian Borders, two seasoned executives with a combined 60+ years of leadership experience in Fortune 500 companies.
Their decision to acquire Mayfield Consulting was driven by a shared commitment to flexibility, work-life balance, and the opportunity to work closely with employees, clients, and communities to make a meaningful, positive impact. Having held leadership roles at Synchrony, Bank of America, USAA, and more, Samantha and Brian bring first-hand experience managing complex business transformations and understand the realities of execution. They have been in the trenches, navigating real-world challenges, and know how to turn strategy into measurable results.
